The new REPACKAGED SOYAPLUS - Big Size
Soyaplus is registered in Nigeria by NAFDAC with the number A1 –
70 52 L
Together, soybean oil and
protein content account for about 60% of dry soybeans by weight (protein at 40%
and oil at 20%). The remainder consists of 35% carbohydrate and about 5% ash
Most soy protein is a relatively heat-stable
storage protein. This heat stability enables soy food products requiring high
temperature cooking, such as tofu, soy milk and textured
vegetable protein (soy flour) to be made.
The principal soluble carbohydrates of
mature soybeans are the disaccharide sucrose, the trisaccharide raffinose, and the tetrasaccharide stachyose.
The oligosaccharides
raffinose and stachyose are not digestible sugars, and are broken down in the
intestine by native microbes, producing gases such as carbon dioxide, hydrogen, and methane.
There are beneficial effects to ingesting oligosaccharides such as raffinose
and stachyose, namely, encouraging indigenous bifidobacteria in the colon against
putrefactive bacteria.
The insoluble carbohydrates in soybeans consist of the complex
polysaccharides cellulose, hemicellulose, and pectin. The majority of soybean carbohydrates can be
classed as belonging to dietary fiber.
Soybeans is a source of complete protein. A complete protein is one
that contains significant amounts of all the essential amino
acids that must be provided to the human body because of the body's inability
to synthesize them.
For this reason, soy is a good source of protein, amongst many others, for
vegetarians and vegans or for people who want to reduce the
amount of meat they eat. According to the US
Food and Drug Administration
The soya beans contain significant amounts of phytic acid, alpha-linolenic
acid, and isoflavones.

CONCERNING SOYAPLUS
It is a known
fact that most of the foods and drinks we consume in Nigeria are carbohydrates, sugar
and fat based. Examples of such foods and drinks include rice, ogi or
pap, porridge, noodles , bread, biscuits, cookies, chocolates, cake, ice
creams, yam, dodo, eba, amala, pounded yam, tuwo, coke, fanta, juices, beer,
malt, the list is endless. The common source of protein – beans - is seldom
eaten in most Nigerian homes while milk, eggs and meat are relatively
expensive.
Our foods and drinks in Nigeria are grossly lacking in
protein. Our children are worse hit.
This has contributed to the high
rate of diabetes, low immunity, low educational performance in children,
hypertension, malnutrition, low sperm count in men, and obesity recorded in Nigeria.
Carbohydrate and sugar have also been implicated in low memory or forgetfulness
in children which has affected our educational standard in Nigeria.
- SOYAPLUS is a fermented and detoxified product of soya beans which has been made fit for human consumption
- SOYAPLUS is a complete protein (because it contains the NINE ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS which the body cannot synthesize on its own)
- Soyaplus is not only a complete protein, but it is also a great source of OMEGA-3 FATTY ACIDS, and a wealth of other CRITICAL MICRO NUTRIENTS including vitamin E, magnesium, fibre, potassium, calcium, and iron
- SOYAPLUS is good for the young, the old and the aged. It is very good for VEGETARIANS, DIABETICS, HYPERTENSIVES, SICKLERS, PERSONS LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS, ORPHANS AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN, MALNOURISHED PERSONS, THOSE WHO WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT, THOSE WHO WANT TO BRING DOWN THEIR CHOLESTEROL LEVELS, MENOPAUSAL WOMEN, PREGNANT WOMEN, SICK PERSONS, e.t.c.
- SOYAPLUS does not contain preservatives, additives, colourings, or flavours
- SOYAPLUS IS NATURAL
- The Product is approved and registered by NAFDAC with the registration number A1 - 7052L
HEALTH BENEFITS
1.
CANCER
a. reduction
in prostate cancer risk in men
b. decreased
risk of death and recurrence of breast cancer among women
c. reduced
risk of colorectal cancer in post menopausal women
2.
BRAIN
a. improvement
in cognitive function particularly verbal memory
b. improved
frontal lobe function
3.
OMEGA 3
FATTY ACIDS
Omega 3 fatty acids are long chain fatty acids
which have the beneficial effect of inhibition of blood clotting. They include
alpha-linoleic acid (alNA), eicosapentaenoic acid (ENA) and docossahexaenoic
acid (DHA).
Soyaplus has a better Omega 3 – Omega 6 fatty
acid ratio than any other leguminous plant
4.
ISOFLAVONES
Genistein and daidzein are types of phytoestrogen
which are considered by dieticians and physicians to be useful in the
prevention of cancer.
5.
FIBRE
Fibre or "roughage" as
it is also known, is essentially a carbohydrate and is found solely in plants.
It is found in the walls of the plant's cells and is the only part of the plant
that cannot be digested by the human body.
The main function of fibre is to
keep the digestive system healthy and functioning properly. Fibre aids and
speeds up the excretion of waste and toxins from the body, preventing them from
sitting in the intestine or bowel for too long, which could cause a build-up
and lead to several diseases. SOYAPLUS
IS RICH IN FIBRE
6.
PHYTOCHEMICALS
The term “phytochemicals” refers to a wide
variety of compounds made by plants, which affect human health. They have
either antioxidant or hormone-like actions. They are promoted for the
prevention and treatment of many health conditions, including cancer, heart
disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure. SOYAPLUS IS RICH IN PHYTOCHEMICALS
7.
CHOLESTEROL
AND HEART DIESEASES
a. Soyaplus
is a cholesterol lowering food with other heart and health benefits
b. Soyaplus
brings about a decrease in LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides
c. Decrease
in cholesterol leads to a corresponding decrease in raised blood sugar
d. Soyaplus
is beneficial to cardiovascular and overall health because of tts high content
of polyunsaturated fats, fibre, vitamins and minerals and low content of
saturated fat
e. Soyaplus
decreases post prandial triglycerides which is increasingly viewed as important
for reducing CHD risk
8.
PHYTIC ACID
Acts as an anti-oxidant and a chelating agent
thus reducing cancer incidence, minimizing diabetes and reducing inflammation
HOW TO SERVE SOYAPLUS
1 tablespoonful into a cup of warm water with a teaspoon of original honey
(and milk if desired)
Mix a tea spoonful with the children’s food like ogi, oats, noodles,
spaghetti, rice, e.t.c.
It can also be added to carbohydrate flour like elubo, wheat, garri,
semovita, amala, fufu
Soyaplus is Produced by Peace Foundation International with NAFDAC Number:
AI – 7052 L, and is offered on the Healthy Life Network by Reality Club
