So, your investment is that initial sum u paid to the barber for his service to you.

For product based Network Marketing businesses, you have to buy into the Company by purchasing their products and then either using them personally or retailing them at a %age mark up which the Company would give to you.

MLM is the term used to describe the business model where persons make direct sales of products and services to the end user, (thereby eliminating the use of middlemen), through word of mouth advertising and social media too.
